Collins signed for Hinckley United in July 2009 from Conference North club Solihull Moors. He started as a trainee at Aston Villa, before moving to Stoke City. After only 4 first team appearances at Stoke he dropped into non league with a loan to Cambridge City before moving to Moor Green. He was with the Moors for 8 years including staying with them when they merged to form Solihull Moors, where he was the club captain.

Lee is married with 15 children and pilots a 3-hull Catamaran. He works as a mobile hairdresser on a Caribbean cruise ship and also calls the bingo Tuesdays and Fridays, matinees and evenings. In his spare time he reads calorie contents on jam jars, cooking sealed jars of Bovril in a Tandoor Oven and filming sloths in slow motion.
