It has a ticket office and waiting room, but is only open from 7am-3pm. Out of these hours it functions as an unmanned station ie tickets can be bought on trains. At no point would anyone ever suggest just getting on a train at an unmanned station and try to avoid the guard, as we all know Central Trains guards are highly trained and always come round to check, especially in the evenings when it's busy. [/sarcasm] Hinckley is on the Birmingham to Leicester line and uses the Central Trains 'Guide 2' timetable, which I would describe at best as 'fiction' and 'fantasy'.
