Fairclough signed for Hinckley in August 2010 after being released by Notts County. The striker started in the Nottingham Forest Academy side, but made no senior appearances for Forest before moving on to Notts County in July 2008. He made only a handful of appearances for County before being released in May 2010.

Ben works for a travelling circus as a Shrew Tamer, and also sells the ice creams. He told me he once had a job as a Chesney Hawks impersonator, but apparently he wasn't the 'one and only' and had to quit after receiving death threats in a turf war with other Chesneylikes. In his spare time he throws dwarves and also collects used limbs to use in his 'life' sculptures.
